"I can't believe you really dragged me here, hmm," the tall, sassy blonde griped in aggravation.
"Eh, come on! This is gonna be fun! When was the last time you got out and had a little fun?" said the taller man as he wrapped his arm around the other's arm.
"Get off of me, hmmm," Deidara demanded through his teeth.
"Come on cheer up," his escort said, still not letting go of Deidara's arm. "Loosen up a little; tonight's supposed to be fun! As S-ranked missing-nin, we don't exactly get invited to very many parties."
Deidara looked over only to stare at a pair of violet eyes, pushed down under furrowed brows, right above the trade-mark smirk that just made Hidan look like Hidan. Then after a long moment, Deidara jerked his arm away at last. "We weren't even invited to this one, hmmm."
"No, but I have a friend that was invited, so we'll just say we're with her," Hidan said, shaking it off. It was just getting dark and they were walking together alone on a path through the woods. It was very quiet, except for the distant boom of the bass from their destination. "Hey, I think I can here the music from here."
"Yeah, hmm. We should be there soon," Deidara sighed.
Hidan glanced over at Deidara. "Why don't you wanna go, eh? Seriously, we never get out and have any fun."
Deidara was quiet for a moment. "I just don't, hmmm," he said monotonically. "It's not like I exactly had a choice."
"Sure you did!" Hidan said cheerfully. "You could've chosen not to bet you could handle more drinks than me," he continued teasingly as they kept walking. Deidara only smacked Hidan in the back of the head as a response.
"I only passed out first cause I didn't eat anything, hmm," Deidara mumbled after a while.
Hidan laughed and put his arm around him. "Sure, that's what it was!" Hidan yelled, still cracking up.
"I don't get why you'd make me come to this stupid party with you if I'm only coming because I lost a bet," Deidara huffed.
"Eh, I know you wanna come with me. You're just too stubborn to admit it." Deidara remained quiet and just huffed at Hidan. "Don't be such a sore loser, Dei-chan. Come on, let's have fun," Hidan continued as he smirked in Deidara's direction.
Deidara pushed Hidan away and turned his head. For some reason, Deidara started to blush while Hidan was talking. "Did he just call me 'Dei-chan'?" Deidara thought to himself. "Don't touch me, hmm!" Deiara snapped, trying to hide the pink in his face.
Hidan didn't seem to notice. He just changed the subject. "We're here!" Hidan exclaimed in excitement. "Come on," he said, grabbing Deidara's arm once again as he pulled him into the crowd. Deidara hadn't noticed that the closer they got, the louder the music got. Now that they were standing outside the gigantic house, the music was almost deafening. Or at least it felt that way. "Hey!" Hidan tried to yell over the music to Deidara, "I think I see my friend!" Hidan dragged him over to some girl that was flirting with some dude. Deidara had no idea who they were, and he wasn't exactly in a very social mood. Deidara just stood back and watched as Hidan rudely interrupted the two without a second thought about it. Typical Hidan. After a moment, Hidan looked back at Deidara and motioned for him to come closer. Deidara complied and stood at Hidan's side.
"So this is your date? She's cute!" said Hidan's friend excitedly.
Deidara felt the impulse to smack her upside the face, but refrained, and simply replied, "I'm not a girl, hmmm!"
"Oh," she said remorsefully. "I'm sorry."
"But you are his date, right?" the other man questioned.
"Fuck yeah!" Hidan proclaimed before Deidara had a chance to answer, as he put his arm around Deidara's waist once again. Deidara blushed lightly, but not nearly enough to be seen in the dark, and glared over at Hidan stubbornly.
The man laughed. "He doesn't look like he agrees with you there."
"Sure he does," Hidan smirked over at Deidara. "Right, Deidara?" Deidara just turned away and huffed as he folded his arms. Hidan laughed as he put his other arm around Deidara. "Come on," he said trying to get Deidara to relax.
After a while of huffing and puffing, Deidara finally started to relax. Deidara thought Hidan would eventually just leave him to go socialize with other people and then Deidara would just be stuck all alone by the bar that some lousy teenager had set up. But Hidan wouldn't seem to leave Deidara alone. Anytime someone came up to Hidan, the first thing he did was introduce Deidara. And when Deidara seemed to feel left out, Hidan would try to include him in the conversation again. It took a little while, but Deidara finally started getting out of his anti-social mood.
Deidara sat on the counter-top in the kitchen while Hidan stood next to him as they continued talking to people they've never met before. Deidara found it amusing that no one recognized who they were. But then again, not many people got the pleasure of being so up-close-and-personal with Akatsuki members and living to tell about it. And without the trade-mark black and red cloaks, they were hardly recognizable. But on the other hand, it might have also helped that they were using fake names and the house was poorly lit. Nonetheless, Deidara was starting to enjoy being in Hidan's company. It wasn't often that they got any kind of down-time. And Deidara was starting to grow to actually like Hidan the more time they spent together.
"Here, Dei-chan," Hidan said as he motioned to get the attention of the under-aged "bar tender" who was mixing a drink on the other side of the medium-sized kitchen. "Let me buy you a drink."
"Oh! No, no I don't think..." he said nervously, but he was cut off short.
"Hey, make a little somethin' for me and my date here!" Hidan called out to him.
"What'll ya' have?"
"Surprise us!" he cried out cheerily as he pulled some money out from his back pocket. Deidara watched him pull out some crumbled bills and hand them to the young man. "Will this cover it?"
"Sure," he said as he took the money and went on about his business.
"Hidan we can't go getting drunk, hmmm. It'd make it too easy for us to just get killed off," Deidara said in hushed voice.
"Eh, we're not going to get too wasted," Hidan teased as he smirked up at Deidara and leaned in to kiss him briefly.
Deidara kissed him back and waited for him to pull away before he punched him in the arm playfully as he giggled. "Yeah that's a perfect plan, hmmm. We'll just pass out in the back yard and we'll wake up in someone's basement, tied up with knives to our necks, hmmmm."
"Well that might be what happens to you, but I can handle a lot more alcohol than you if you remember what happened from our last bet."
"Yeah we'll see about that, hmmm!" Deidara yelled cheerfully.
"Eh? Are we making another bet?" Hidan asked playfully.
"Hell yeah! And if I win, you have to take me on another date, hmmmm."
"Eh, come on! This is gonna be fun! When was the last time you got out and had a little fun?" said the taller man as he wrapped his arm around the other's arm.
"Get off of me, hmmm," Deidara demanded through his teeth.

'Senpai! Senpai!'
Tobi had once again lost Deidara. He was always walking off, leaving Tobi behind. It was like Deidara took advantage of every opportunity he got to get away from Tobi. Normally, whenever Tobi found Deidara, he was in deep thought and obviously didn't want to be disturbed. This time, it was different.
'Senpai!' called Tobi. 'Senpai, where are you?'
Deidara didn't answer, he never did. Tobi continued to search the forest, looking for any sign of his s

I won't make any more chapters. This is a one-shot fanfic for #NarutoYaoiYuriFC's contest. But I'm not actually entering this into the contest until I'm sure that I'm happy with it.
Lol I love this fanfic though XD Deidara lost a bet C: And then towards the end Hidan's all "Oh but I can last longer than you, remember?"
And Deidara's all "Challenge accepted"
But in all seriousness I just really hope the judges judge based on the story-line and quality of the writing. Sometimes I feel like I'm at a bit of a disadvantage when entering some of these types of contests because my taste is not always (actually, hardly ever) what's popular. :C I've met all the requirements so I should have just as much a shot at winning as a drawing or something involving a different pairing.
And for those who think, "HiDei is a complete crack pairing. They've hardly ever spoken to each other in the series. How does she come off thinking they'd be couple. Ect." then feel free to read this instead of asking when I hear this all the time: [link]
